Murphy Toerner has been a life coach and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 1992.  She is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in Louisiana as well. She began her career as a counselor, working with individuals to help them deal with a variety of difficult life situations.

As clients experienced success in resolving presenting issues, many of them wanted Murphy’s assistance in achieving some of their personal and professional goals pertaining to relationships, communication, self-esteem, and career advancement.  This is where her “life coaching” career began.

Her speaking engagements, retreats and coaching sessions allowed her to see a growing need for assistance in living life in a healthy way. While her love for counseling remained, her passion for life coaching and executive coaching services began to expand.

In 2012, Murphy became a Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors. She is also a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through the College of Executive Coaching.

She currently serves coaching clients from all over the United States and abroad including: Alaska, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., Sweden and Romania.

She’s a member, in good standing, of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and of the ICF Austin, Texas Chapter.
